New Format Of Youth Days Announced
January 2, 2016
Due to the construction of the New Hilmer Lodge Stadium, the LA84 Foundation Youth Days Committee has announced a new format of the Youth Days Program.
The Clinic Program will remain the same. Those schools wishing to schedule an Instructional Track and Field Clinic may do so by filling out the request form (CLICK HERE FOR A REQUEST FORM) and submitting it.
The Youth Days Track and Field Meet will be put on hiatus for the next two years until the 2018 Meet. In the mean time, we encourage all of the schools that have participated in this wonderful program, to host track meets at their own school. It's easy to host your own meet! To help you, we have prepared a special complimentary "Home Track Meet Organization Booklet."
We know your event can be a huge success like the Youth Days Track and Field Meet! Schools that put on a home track and field meet will be supplied with participant t-shirts, batons, ribbons and a
'Home Track Meet Organization Booklet.'
For more information on putting on your own home track meet, please contact Don Ruh at firstname.lastname@example.org.

AAF of Los Angeles is now the LA84 Foundation
June 7, 2007
We are proud to announce that we have changed our name from the Amateur Athletic Foundation of Los Angeles to the LA84 Foundation. We do so to honor the spirit of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games that led to our creation and signal our renewed energy, urgency and commitment to advancing youth sport in Southern California.
Today, the spirit of 1984 lives on. Through direct grants, sponsored programs and refurbishment of facilities, our Foundation has enabled millions of youth to discover and develop their potential by participating in sport. For over 20 years we have provided fresh insight into the most pressing issues in youth sport, educated coaches to cultivate the best in their athletes, and strengthened the ties between generations and communities. And while we're proud of what we've accomplished, we're even more excited about our future impact. In the years to come, we will continue to champion the foundational role sport plays in providing today’s youth with the skills they need to take on the challenges of life.
